When:
Our next show, "This Land", is the result of a summer's worth of interviews of people from battleground states across America. We asked one simple question:
"Who are you voting for in the upcoming 2020 Presidential election and why?"
Members from C2C LA and C2C SYR worked together to create a series of short episodes exploring the answers we found in these interviews using Moment Work, a method of devised theatre created by the Tectonic Theater Project. The result is a docudrama that melds the worlds of live theatre, webisodes, and Zoom, for a unique performance that seeks to understand our current political climate and the people of our nation.
We are proud to present this trilogy of 20-30 minute episodes live on Zoom to a limited audience, while simultaneously live-streaming to YouTube. If you would like to be a member of the limited Zoom audience, please make a reservation via email to: RickyPak@CircleSquaredCollective.org. Send the email you wish to log onto the Zoom performance with and you will receive a confirmation.
Attendance is FREE, though we do ask you to consider making a donation to Ballotpedia.org, a digital encyclopedia of American politics and elections firmly committed to neutrality in the presentation of unbiased election information.
How:
ALWAYS...
Since our founding in 2013, a core tenant of our mission statement has been, "... to bring diverse voices to a new generation of audiences." We have always created work with and for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) theatre artists and audiences.
And yet we also acknowledge that there is still a lot of work to be done, especially now as we rebuild our own Circles in Los Angeles and Syracuse. Our mission will continue to be giving voice to those who have for too long been voiceless for those who have for too long been waiting to see their stories represented on stage and screen. Diversity and inclusion remain at the center of our beliefs.
We have not and will never hesitate to say
BLACK LIVES MATTER
as we continue to strive to be the best allies and advocates for all BIPOC theatre artists and audiences possible.
Economic times are tough, but if you are able, please consider making a donation to one of the many worthy organizations listed on this page:
